Restless

 so i played around with some long exposures this weekend. chris gareth and meegan were around. the second shot is by far my favourite. still cant believe that they kept so still.

these next few shots are just some randoms i have been taking. cant exactly remember when they were from, but i think they deserve to be up here.

this is the cat that lives in our block. no idea what her name is, but i love this shot.

so i am doing my best to shoot everyday. slowly learning my new toy. still so much to learn though!

boychamp is back

so we all got an awesome surprise the other day. mark watts is back home. with a serious case of the beard face. seems to be going around a bit lately.
we met up on friday night and had few drinks at a local bar. then mark wong tess and matt came and crashed at my place. i took a few snaps. 

 

not much happened on saturday. dane and pascale ended up coming round for a visit. we went out to amsterdam again and i took some more photos when we got home. i used chris's miniature fish to get a split view. i quite like these shots.

this weekend was a bit of a different one. very mellow.

on friday i went out to jilera for a drink with some friends. we did not stay long, because davies was having his 21st at the bat center. which got moved to amsterdam. so chris and iw ent across there and had adrink with wong and a few others. we left before the thing really kicked off. calvin had not even arrived yet.

saturday i woke up early. went to go get my broken camera from the repair shop. took a snap of the nazi house on the way there. sorry its a shitty photo.

then we bought some supplies and headed out to gman's house for his birthday braai. we played a fair amount of one bounce and had a few drinks to keep us refreshed. here are a few snaps

then after the sun went down, giffy showed up from pmb. was good to see his face again. we chilled out, cooked and spoke some general chit chat.

afterwards we went back home. giffy crashed over. we watched life cycles and went to bed. if you have not watched life cycles, do yourself a favour!

sunday we woke up to find that giffy's car (maleek) had been broken into. luckily we had taken most of the stuff out. but the bastards still got some things. so i went with giffy to the police station to report it. here are some snaps

all in all it was a good weekend. apart from the rain wetting our carpets and now we have to deal with the smell.

Used

when i first put scissors to your form,

i cut it slim and smooth.

then i took a knife to your shape,

Look Back

lets go back in time.

its summer. in manchester. we are living in student house with no clean plates. 3 of us are south african. and there are a smorgasbord of other people in and around our daily lives.

this was a little project we had going on. it took a while to finish. and even longer to get on the web. but here it is. i hope you enjoy it.

but most of it is done. hard to believe a year can swing bye so

fast. we have said good bye to route 66 and hello to 6 jb guevara, well actually chelmore. but new road names make things confusing. here are a few snaps from the last night at route 66.

friday night i went with my cousin ryan to gtown to pick up some furniture. had a nice relaxed night with my old man. ate some good steak. drank some cold beers and rested for the mission the next day would hold.

we were up early and packing. manged to score a sweet trade with my grandparents. small tv for a rather big one. punch the sky.

we eventually got back to durban. the relentless back and forth up the stairs took its toll on all our bodies. but we eventually got a lot of it done.

we called it a day and went to stu's to watch the rugby. well the end of it. sean ticker was there. that is a face i have not seen in a while. we chatted, drank and then got ready to go to unit 11 to watch shadowclub.

the rest of the night is a massive blur. i remember dancing pretty hard to an awesome show by shadow club. they truly are a great band to watch live. there are bits and pieces of memory in the blackout. i hung out with mole. i saw matt and alex. and thats about it.

sunday was a long day. we packed up the rest of the stuff at route 66 and lugged it over to the new spot. and i was rather hungover. so not the best combination in the world. but most of it is done now. just the washing machine and the dragons.
